RE: Big Rig Map

Rand McNally Truckers Atlas. Sams Club and Costco has had them from time to time at a good price.

RE: Ronoco motor scooter

I've been watching Donnie Don's posts. He seems to know more about almost everything than anyone else. Since when are any scooters or cycles better than Honda's or Yamaha's.

I'm glad to find out where Lapdog is. The weather is starting to change here in Shediac. Hershey is nice in the fall. Any interest in a visit Lapdog?

RE: Forest Lake Thousand Trails

No one mentioned that Lexington is the BBQ capital of the world. I don't remember the exact number of BBQ joints but recall there's one per 1000 residents. Lexington BBQ has been featured on food network and is supposed to be the place to go for NC style pork BBQ.

RE: gen started by itself/won't shut down from remote panel

I know this is of no help but its a bit like the light staying on when you close the door on the fridg. I didn't believe it when DW told me but sure enough.......

RE: Registering motorhome when not resident in that state!

I chose a MT LLC to solve a similar problem. My residence is not in Canida though the basic concept fits. This may not be the right answer for you. It costs nothing to talk to one of the MT attorneys that handle things like this.

RE: Dometic Fridge won't cool.

You didn't indicate model of fridg. Most newer ones display a code when there's a problem. What does your manual say.

RE: Were to camp in Yelowstone.

Don't expect too much of the campgrounds. On average you'll find them cramped and expensive for what they are. Take plenty of $$.

RE: Onan 7000 (NHM spec-F) failing under load

Is the gennerator giving an error code ( lights blinking on your start switch) ? If so, what is it and what does your manual say?

RE: Dumping Charge..is this fair?

Does $20 seem like a lot? Yes. Too much? That depends on what your options are. This isn't significantly different than any of the other purchases we make. I would like to be paying a lot less for fuel but everywhere I go the prices seem to be very similar. If I'm in the middle of nowhere and need fuel, I just pay whatever is being charged.
You didn't say exactly where you are but the Provincial Parks usually have free dump stations. Campbells Cove Provincial Park is on Route 16 about 5 km East of Elmira.

RE: Will diesel and gas flip-flop again?

Fuel is only one of the costs of operation. Think about how long you expect to have the MH, how much will you drive it, consider depreciation for a gas unit vs. diesel, etc. Most people think a gas unit is used up at 100K while a diesel is just broken in. The diesel may cost a bit more but provide you with more pleasure.
If cost isn't the only issue, you'll enjoy the DP. Imagine the thrill of powering up the hills with 1000 + lb ft torque.

RE: Size Debate for new rv owner

35 - 36 feet is where you're likely to start running into problems in state parks etc. I used to have a 35' and seldom had issues. You'll enjoy the exta space of a larger unit unless there are other issues

RE: What does everyone do during normal days?

How about getting a job and this time give some thought to what you want to do when you retire. Maybe you'll figure it out, if not, just keep on working. A mind that's idle leads to an early death. Your choice!

RE: 13mpg on a 20ft Chevy 350 Class C. Is it normal?

Did you ask if 13 is up or down the hill? Mine isn't personal experience but I have friends (2) with chevy class C that claim 7 - 8 mpg. If milage is important to you, I think I'd go out for a ride and see for yourself.

RE: What would you do??

Maybe you could have gotten one of the folks behind you to talk with him. That way you wouldn't have to be the bad guy. Or, maybe you could have organized a protest of some sort or maybe you could all have "egged him". The possibilities are almost endless.

RE: Boy, do I stink!

Country roads and speeds above 45 should solve the problem. If this doesn't work, check your vent pipe to be sure it hasn't fallen into the tank. Also, does the seal on the toilet hold water?

RE: Digital Box Hook Up

What's a Wineguard box? If you're referring to a contraption that routes your signals in and out, the important thing is that any TV that can't decode digital signals will need to receive it's TV signal from a converter box of some sort (satellite, cable, or your new converter box). Where you put it may depend on what your inputs and needed outputs are. Given the apparent understanding demonstrated by the question, I hope you can make make more sense of this than I can.
Maybe some magic will help.
